GIL end-to-end solutions in Net marketing soon

Nitya Varadarajan
Chennai, Jan 19: Global Infologistics Ltd (GIL), an Indian incorporated company based at Chennai, is planning a serious foray into e-commerce or direct marketing through the net. Initially it would focus on retail, but would later provide e-commerce services and solutions in finance and telecommunications sectors.

The company is going to handle direct marketing through net for US companies who wish to utilise this avenue but have infrastructure constraints.Addressing a media conference here, chairman and managing director V Ramasamy said that GIL would be the first company to have this kind of a business model - servicing other companies/retail chains and end users. The company proposes to take care of the entire supply chain management including logistics. In other words, the company will take the orders from customers across the world, ensure goods delivery within three to five days and have the payment interface with banks.
