Broadcom's HDTV integrated chip 

 
JANUARY 19: US-based Broadcom Corporation is all set to roll out its HDTV (high definition television) integrated chip to cater to the broadband digital transmission market. Demonstrating the capabilities of the chip to reporters on Wednesday, Broadcom India president and CEO Tushar Dave said that the completely integrated chip (BCM7020) was the industry's first 2D/3D video graphics subsystem that could be incorporated in HDTV's (high definition televisions), set-top-boxes and high definition digital programming.
