Badla fears pull Sensex down 122 pts
Rumours of possible IT raids on three brokers and a relatively higher badla rate in Calcutta triggered a wave of selling which saw the BSE Sensex dipping 122.44 points to close at 5355.80 on Thursday. Even the surprise earnings growth from Reliance was ignored by market players.
`Z' category scrip debuts at a huge premium on BSE
Color Chips, formerly known as Arham Fiscals, made a debut on the BSE at a whopping premium. The company's scrip opened at Rs 57 and reached a high of Rs 290. At the end of the day the company closed at Rs 216.20 per share. It is interesting to note that the company is listed under the Z category of the BSE.
