Vajpayee not to go to Davos 

 
JANUARY 22: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has cancelled his trip to Davos and Rome because of political preoccupations related to next month's assembly elections, officials said. Vajpayee was to leave for Rome on January 30 on an official visit to Italy, and to pitch for investments at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
