70 more engineers sacked in UP 

 
JANUARY 20: The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday terminated the services of 70 more engineers, taking the figure to 208 even as the talks between the government and the leaders of the striking employees of the power sector were on.

It may be recalled that the state government had dismissed 73 engineers late Wednesday night and 65 were given the marching orders two days ago.
