InvestTrack is a web-based product which can be sold to larger sharebrokers having more than 100 clients for around Rs 15 lakh. ``But this would also necessitate the sharebroker having his own infrastructure such as server and telephone lines, Director CS Kulasekaran said addressing a media meet.

However, for smaller sharebrokers who have lesser number of clients, an annual subscription-based fee depending on number of clients is possible, he said.

The product is supposed to the first of its kind in the country, though common in the US and developed countries. InvestTrack establishes vital on-line communication link between the sharebroker and his clients (investors) over the internet. The investor can modify and cancel orders for purchase' sale of shares with hissharebroker and a sharebroker can confirm the transactions as against these orders to his client. Both can keep track of the portfolio and payment status. Using InvesttTrack, a sharebroker can raise invoices, receipts, credit and debit notes electronically.
