Hind Lever Chem net soars 26.6%
The board of Hind Lever Chemicals Ltd (HLCL) on Monday recommended a dividend of Rs 16 per share for the year ended December 31, 1999, in view of its improved performance. The company posted a 26.6 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 53.7 crore (Rs 42.4 crore) while there was a 60 per cent rise in turnover at Rs 1,475.6 crore (Rs 923.4 crore).TPL 9-month net rockets 119%
Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd (TPL) has registered a net profit of Rs 17 crore (Rs 7.75 crore) for the nine months ended December 1999, up by 119 per cent. Sales have jumped to Rs 357.22 crore (Rs 271.09 crore), a rise of 31.7 per cent. The third quarter has seen a sales of Rs 119.51 crore and a net of Rs 15.79 crore.
Tata-BP engine oils
The Tata-BP range of high performance engine oils has been approved as `Genuine Oil' by Tata Engineering for its workshop as well as replacement market. An agreement to this effect was signed by Tata Engineering and Tata-BP in Mumbai on Monday. Tata Engineering, which has a 67 per cent share of the heavy commercial vehicles segment, has over 400 workshops, which are projected to increase to 2,000 by 2002.
Kodak sales up 18%
Kodak India has posted a net profit of Rs 24.92 crore (Rs 5.18 crore) for the fiscal ended December 1999. Sales jumped by 18 per cent to Rs 589.9 crore.The board has recommended a dividend of 80 per cent, including special dividend of 35 per cent.
