Mudra Consultants plans ISP foray, to target women
Delhi-based Mudra Consultants has decided to enter the Internet service provider business targeting the woman segment. The company has already submitted an application to acquire a licence from DoT for this purpose, a company release said. "We want to E-enable the Indian women by providing them with complete computer hardware and software," chairman of Mudra Consultants Ashok Gadiya said.The company is also negotiating with hardware, software vendors and with finance firms to provide loans for purchase of computers by women, the release said.
Cognizant Tech ties up with Viant Corp
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp announced a tie-up with Viant Corp for offering application management and web-to-legacy integration services. This service will be available for clients of Viant Corp, the release said.
Cognizant will maintain and enhance web-based applications developed by Viant for clients seeking am ongoing application management service.
LCC Infotech ties up with MAHE for virtual campuses
Calcutta-based LCC Infotech Ltd has tied up with MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) university to offer Bachelor and Master's Degree courses in the field of Information Technology. A company press release noted that a special arrangement has been made with the academy and all LCC centres will provide the Internet support and service provider.
Raids yield Rs 1.11cr pirated software
Raids in Chennai have resulted in seizure of pirated software worth Rs 1.11 crore from four outlets. These included KCA Infocomn Pvt Ltd, Vijayapad Consultants Pvt Ltd, OM Gani and Alter Net @ Communication. The raids followed three weeks of investigation following a tip off received on the BSA/NASSCOM anti-piracy hotline.
