Rs 400cr business from CeBIT likely
Indian software companies which participated in the just-concluded seven-day CeBIT 2000 fair in Germany are expected to generate business worth more than Rs 400 crore. Following a recommendation by Ernst & Young, software company Transys Technologies Pvt Ltd is busy chalking out a restructuring plan which will see its corporate base shifting from the US to Chennai. The corporate headquarters presently located at Princeton, New Jersey, will be moved to Chennai in about six months.
Usha India electronics division going online
The electronics division of Usha (India) Ltd on Friday announced plans to move into e-commerce by launching a website to expand its global operations. "The e-commerce solution is expected to give further boost to Usha's export endeavour," director of Usha (India) Ltd (electronics division) Arun Kanchan said.
Deltagram to extend operations
Chennai-based Deltagram is planning to extend satellite messaging facility to the neighbouring Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. "We see good market in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as the communication facilities in the region still elude most to the needy people," R Kothandaraman, managing director of Deltagram told PTI.
STAG IT in pact with TIL
STAG IT Solutions, a Malaysian company involved in designing, developing with data warehousing facilities in South East Asian countries, entered into a joint venture agreement with Hyderabad-based software development company Trans Atlantic Infotech Ltd (TIL), according to a release.
