Shyam Telecom unveils radio modems

Nitya Varadarajan
CHENNAI, MARCH 6: Shyam Telecom has come out with a spread spectrum modem (2mbps) with a 2.4 Hz frequency band.

The telecom equipment manufacturer and service provider has developed the product in-house with the aim of bringing the advantages of spread spectrum techniques to wireless data communication applications. Spread Spectrum Technology is a coding technique to protect the data by increasing the transmitted bandwidth and reducing power density. The technique resists jamming, interference, selective fading and interception as well as minimising interference to other users.
