Hardware sector growth seen at 23 per cent
Hardware market in India is projected to grow 23 per cent this year with a highest growth of 26 per cent in the southern states, International Data Corporation (IDC) has said. A survey conducted by IDC's India chapter said a total of Rs 15,398 crore purchase of various hardware was estimated for the year 1999-2000, registering a growth of 23 per cent.ETC plans Rs 60cr funding
Entertainment Television Channel (ETC), is planning to pump in Rs 60 crore into operations over the next one year. The funds will be brought in by the promoters who holds 40 per cent of the equity.
Sony to hike software manpower
Sony Corporation has announced plans to expand its software development activities by recruiting more talent and said it was targeting Rs 15 crore export turnover from this division in year 2000, managing director of Sony India H Matsumoto told PTI.
