Paramount bags Rs 20-crore DoT order
Paramount Communications Ltd, a telecom cables manufacturer, has bagged an order worth Rs 20 crore from department of telecommunications (DoT) for the supply of jelly filled telecom cable. As per the terms of the order, Paramount has to supply these cables by the end of April 2000, a company statement said. With this, Paramount expects to close the current financial year with a total turnover of more than Rs 130 crore as against the earlier projection of over Rs 120 crore.

Bitech gets ISO award
Chennai-based software development house Bitech has been awarded ISO 9001 certification for its Chennai software development facility. The certification, given by Quality Cert (India) Ltd - an accredited body of RvA Netherlands, covers analysis, design, coding, testing, delivery and maintenance of commercial software, said a companyrelease.
