Bangalore, Mar 13: Talisma Corp, the parent company of the Bangalore-based Aditi Technologies, is planning to raise venture capital funding to the tune of $15-20 million in the near future.The funds will go into funding the company's marketing operations overseas.Talisma is also planning a new 10-acre mini-campus at Electronics City, Bangalore, which will house its Internet call service centre run by the Talisma Support Services (TSS) division.
TSS is in the process of upscaling its team from 150 presently to around 2000 by the end of the next calendar. Aditi and Talisma together have a manpower pool of 750 currently.
Apart from the 1.9 lakh square feet facility for Talisma at Electronics City, Aditi is taking up space totalling another 62,000 square feet in three facilities across Bangalore.
The company, which offers end-to-end electronic customer relationship management solutions (e-CRM), was spun off last year following the initial success of Aditi's flagship e-service product, Talisma, with thebrand becoming the mother company.
Talisma Support Services (TSS) vice president MD Ramaswamy told The Financial Express that talks were currently on with several VCFs with the valuation of the company under discussion. Angel investors are also being considered to raise part of the target amount.
TSS offers dot.com and portal customers 24x7 end-to-end support solutions including tool sets, strategic consulting, outsourcing of support (which includes entire teams of support personnel) and even hosts websites for them. The hosting package includes setting up remote servers, putting the hardware in place, managing support and providing feedback to the customer.Although, most of the company's customers are in the US, its support operations are based in Bangalore.
Ramaswamy said Talisma had bagged some prestigious clients including Realnetworks and Rewards2k.com providing them solutions for their customer support requirements in short time frames in the face of stiff competition.The division is looking atdoing around 30 per cent of Talisma's projected revenues of around $20 million this calendar.
