MUL bags single order for 500 Esteems
Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) has bagged the single largest order of 500 Esteem cars from a Delhi based company, Dial-a-Cab India Pvt Ltd. MUL entered into an agreement with Dial-a-Cab, wherein it will be supplying 500 CNG fitted Esteems to the company to use as radio taxis. Dial-a-Cab will be launching a radio taxi service in the capital this week. In Delhi, this new round-the-clock radio taxi service will be available by dialing the telephone no 1920. It will provide commuters with an air-conditioned Maruti Esteem car that has a mobile phone and first aid facility, a company release said.Glenmark interim dividend
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd has announced an interim dividend of 80 per cent for the year 1999-2000. For the purpose of interim dividend, the record date has been fixed as April 17, 2000. According to a news release, for the nine-month period ended December 31, 1999, the company registered sales of Rs 92.99 crore and net profit of Rs 11 croreresulting in the sales growth of 26.57 per cent and net profit growth of 68.45 per cent over the corresponding period in the previous year.
Shree Rama net up
Shree Rama Multi-tech Ltd, has reported a total income of Rs 47.80 crore for the first three months ended December 31, 1999 as against Rs 31.13 crore for the corresponding period in the previous year - an increase of 46 per cent. The profit after tax for the quarter stood at Rs 10.66 crore - an increase of 33 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
Ginni Filaments board meet
The extra ordinary general meeting of Ginni Filaments Ltd will be held on April 11, 2000. The board of directors have decided to diversify the activities of the company into software and information technology.
