Mumbai, March 13: Moser Baer India Ltd (MBIL) has signed a deal estimated to be around Rs 140 crore with MMORE International of the Netherlands, a press release said. MBIL will supply 48 million recordable compact disks (CD-Rs) per annum to MMORE-a brand with a 20 per cent market share in Netherlands.The company has also entered with an agreement with Emtee Magnetics GmbH-a DM 1.8 billion major, based in Germany-whereby MBIL will supply 36 to 60 million BASF branded CD-Rs to EMTEC during the current year. MBIL has acquired the "Preferred Supplier Status" to EMTEC, the release stated.
MBIL has already commenced volume exports of CD-Rs from its newly established recordable optical media plant. The plant is expected to reach its rated annual capacity of 150 million CD-Rs by May 2000.
