Ambanis bid to set up school at Bandra-Kurla

Manju AB
Mumbai, March 13: The Ambanis have evinced interest to set up a school building at Bandra Kurla in mid-town Mumbai. The JH Ambani Trust has emerged as the highest bidder for the project after the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Agency (MMRDA) invited bids from corporates to build a school in an effort to enhance educational infrastructure in the city.

According to India Property Highlights, only three bids were received and the Ambani Trust emerged as the highest bidder with a rate as low as Rs 3,400 per square meter or Rs 315 per sq.ft. The India Property Highlights is a quarterly property report from international property consultants Colliers Jardine. According to sources, the JH Ambani Trust- a family trust dedicated to community development initiatives-has bid for the project. The trust was involved with the establishment of schools in Jamnagar and Patalganga.
