Mumbai/Pune, April 5: Tata Honeywell has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Group4 Securitas, a global security company to offer total security solutions in the country. The venture will address the emerging need for state-of-the art security solutions backed by a central monitoring and response service. Both the companies will have a 50 per cent stake each in the new company.The new company will address the emerging need for central monitoring and response services (CMS) for electronic security solutions, a press release said. The joint venture has been formed to leverage the strengths of Tata Honeywell's products, technology, distribution channels and support infrastructure and Group4 Securitas' security service expertise and network of field operations and patrol.
Tata Honeywell is joint venture between Tata Industries and Honeywell and is into industrial automation projects and pioneering projects in intelligent building control systems. Group4 Securitas offers comprehensive security the world over and is India's largest security company with a network of over 35,000 guards and 88 field officers all over the country. Honeywell International India country manager and managing director, Rakesh Makhija said, "These solutions will not only offer security but also peace of mind. The CMS is going to be an essential need of every home and establishment in time to come."
These strengths will provide the customers with state-of-the-art electronic solutions backed by a responsive central monitoring service. The CMS service is being initially offered in six major cities within the next few months and will be available in all major cities in the next one-two years. The new company will set up computerised CMS in the operational city which will be manned by trained operators. For individual needs different service packages will be customised and will be offered on a subscription basis. In case of emergencies like intrusion, fire, medical emergency etc, in the subscriber establishments the security solutions installed will send a signal to the CMS stations.The CMS station operators will then validate the signals whether the emergency is real and mobilise and despatch assistance accordingly.
