"Our experience across south-west Asia has shown a significant rise in convention tourists. This trend has been reflected in India as well, encouraging us to introduce a convention destination in the country," Bass Hotels and Resorts chief operating officer, south-west Asia, Rakesh Mathur said.

The five-star deluxe hotel is focussing on revenues coming from conventions and business conferences and has readied five conference halls, fully equipped with conferencing facilities, he said.
