NAI appoints IMIL as distributor

Netaphase Consulting on Friday launched http://discounts.dopple.com a comprehensive shopping information site. The premier site provides exhaustive information on all kinds of discounts, deals, price-offs, contests, and other special offers running on a range of products in more than 200 markets across the five cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, and Bangalore. The site allows the surfer to look for discounts using different search criteria such as product type, market area, or brand. Netizens to have free access to Internet
Netizens may be able to access the web free of cost, thanks to the free Internet service to be launched by city-based Net People Internet India Limited Company and Chennai-based Soffia Software.Under the joint venture, which promoted the concept of Mycaps (Commerce Access Points), ten Net cafes will be opened at various places in the city which will offer free browsing to users, Net people Internet company chairman PM Murali told a press conference on Thursday night.

Virginia firm signs MOU with Arcit
Virginia-based Apex Technology has signed an agreement with Amity Resource Centre for information technology for working together in e-commerce and software development. The two companies will jointly create a pool of software specialists and build resources for the global and domestic markets, Arcit executive VP Major General K Jai Singh (retd) said here on Friday.

BPL Mobile launches prepaid card
BPL Mobile Communications has launched its prepaid card - mots - at Rs 249. At an initial cost of Rs 249, mots provides instant connectivity to a potential customer. Subscribers also have the flexibility of choosing their budget by charging their SIM card with talktime through a mots recharge voucher available in denominations ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 2,500 at over 2000 BPL Mobile outlets in Mumbai. Mots are being offered through IN.

Epson in tie-up with Accel ICIM
Epson has announced a strategic tie up with Accel ICIM, the leader in multi vendor support services for the maintenance and service of computers and peripherals, to fortify its after sales network in India. With this alliance, Epson will be able to utilize the benefit of Accel's wide service coverage and expand its service network.
