Trehan is Crompton Greaves MD
SM Trehan, president of the digital group, the IT and telecom arm of Crompton Greaves, has been appointed as managing director in place of KK Nohria, who has relinquished the post but would continue as chairman. Trehan, who was inducted into the board, is to be assisted by two presidents, B Banerjee and PH Rao, who would be responsible for the consumer products group and the digital group respectively, the company said.L&T co-founder felicitated
Henning Holck-Larsen, co-founder of Larsen & Toubro and chairman emeritus was honoured by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Tuesday in Mumbai "for his vision and spirit of entrepreunership". He was presented a silver plaque on the occasion by CII, president Arun Bharat Ram.

HCC posts Rs 8.96cr 9-month net
Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has registered a net profit of Rs 8.96 crore for the nine-month period ended March 31, 2000 as against the Rs 5.14 crore in the previous year. The company's turnover, however, dropped by 19 per cent to Rs 368.02 crore.
