Sensex claws back from 10-mth low, ends day 37 points lower
A remarkable recovery in the markets after hitting a low of 4109-level has rekindled hopes of better days ahead among market players, though they continue to be cautious about the volatility.

It was a violent day at the bourses. The markets opened deep down at 4201, a straight drop of 171 points from the previous close. But within the first half hour prices surged as smart traders rushed in to pick at the exaggerated bottom level.
CMC -- Low downside risk makes it attractive
CMC Ltd has posted sales of Rs 457.92 crore in 1999-2000 as compared to Rs 338.22 crore in the previous year. This translates into a 36% jump in sales and is an improvement over the first-half figures.
