Jai Kumar NR
New Delhi, May 3: First of its kind in the country, equitytrade.com has started trading in securities on a real time basis. With the launch of this service, investors can now start trading (both buying and selling) of securities on equitytrade.com. The trading will take place on the National Stock Exchange.

Besides internet trading, equitytrade.com offers services like portfolio management and technical charting analysis on the site. The internet trading module software, which has been developed in house, allows real time routing, real time market information display, client information display, bank account management and transactions history display. The trading of securities on the site will be at a margin of 25 per cent. Investors can start net trading with a minimum amount of Rs 25,000 in their account. For example, with this minimum amount, an individual can trade in shares worth Rs 1 lakh. The site will maintain an online bank account for all the listed users to keep a check on the margin money. The site will also allow multiple portfolio management which helps investors track their shareholding and those of their family separately. The site also facilitates sector-wise tracking of shares, hypothetical investments through watch portfolio before actual buying and selling, quick view of information on fivepre-defined criteria like historical, current, market, fundamental and technical.

Curreng view provides percentage change for each share on previous day's closing price on a day to day basis. Market view provides closing and opening price, day's high/low and the volumes traded for each share.

equitytrade.com helps investors generate multiple reports for each portfolio. Transaction history reports track date and time, order number and all costs incurred in buying shares. Profit & loss reports provides profit and loss details for each transaction and a summary report at the end, giving investors, an analysis of his/her investment.

``equitytrade.com is one-stop solution for online investment management. The purpose of setting up the site is to make available stock exchanges at investor's desktop. Now, investors can buy and sell shares from anywhere in the country,'' said Kapil Sanghi, managing director, equitytrade.com.

``The site will provide a comprehensive and secure trading platform to the investors. Besides trading in securities, investors can also manage their portfolio and look at technical analysis before making an investment decision,'' added Sanghi.

``With the advent of internet and availability of advanced technology, these kind of trading sites will help investors analyse previous investments before making new investments,'' said A N Shanbhag, a leading personal finance and tax consultant.
