Chennai, May 10: The Hong Kong-based interactive recruitment network, jobsDB.com is looking towards India as a major destination for tapping human resources with about 1,300 vacancies in its kitty."We have in our clientele about 600 corporate bodies offering 277 positions with each position having an average vacancy of four to five", jobsDB.com India Ltd managing director K C John told PTI.
With online recruitment delivering cost-effective solutions for business recruitment through direct networking of corporate employees and job seekers, more and more corporate firms are getting enrolled with jobsDB.com which has helped in expanding its global database, John said. "Our aim is to become the market leader in the sector with a number of plans including updating the software and hardware systems which is the backbone of operations. Our priority is to instal a farm of servers to make the service more efficient and user friendly", he said.
On the issue of generating revenue for updating technology and other expenses, John said the required money would be generated by the promoters and denied that the company had any plans to go for an IPO.
JobsDB.com allows job seekers more time and flexibility to search out prospective employers and greater opportunities to enter into direct contact with them. It automatically eliminates candidates whose work experience and particular skill requirements does not fit the profile for certain jobs; it helps in a swift search for the ideal candidate from a pool of international talent, John said.
The site, which provides lists of job seekers from diverse industries and professions, helps to reach out to local as well as global candidates to meet an organisation's recruitment needs with just one posting, he claimed. Access can be gained to jobsDB.com's multinational resume database using a single user ID and password. Unlimited number of brief resumes can be screened free of charge, he said. "But, we may think in lines of collecting fees in the form of subscription from the beneficiaries after a period of one year," he added. On successful job application, the resume is stored in the database, which can be reactivated whenever required.
At present, the company has bases in nine countries and India was the tenth where it was trying hard to establish itself, he said.
