Blue Dart reports Rs 12.31cr net
Courier company Blue Dart Express on Tuesday declared a net profit of Rs 12.31 crore for the fiscal 1999-2000, an increase of 105 per cent from the previous year. Blue Dart recorded a total income of Rs 205.46 crore for the year ended on March 31, 2000, a company release said. The company, which had its board meeting at Mumbai, said that it has prepared a comprehensive plan to maximise the business potential which e-commerce will offer.Vintage Cards appoints CEO

Otis turnover up
Otis India has recorded an increase in sales by 18.2 per cent for the year ended March 31,2000 to Rs 294.41 crore for the previous year. Gross profit for the period increased by 18.8 per cent to Rs 39.6 crore compared to Rs 33.3 for the previous year. The profit after taxes for the period was Rs 20.09 crore for the period. The company had declared a 100 per cent dividend which also included a 25 per cent special millennium dividend, a press release said.
Daewoo announces special service
Daewoo Motors India Ltd has announced the special service facilities in key holiday destinations manned by trained technical personnel as well as a helpline car to attend and service Daewoo customers.
Tata Engineering bags award
Tata Engineering on Thursday will be presented the `National award for successful commercialisation of indigenous technology' for its passenger car, Indica. Union HRD minister Murli Manohar Joshi will hand over a silver shield and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh to the company executive director FK Kavarana.
