Netillennium Technologies launches country's first gaming portal

New Delhi, May 12: Netillennium Technologies Limited (NTL) has announced the launch of its maiden Web venture www.passion4games.com. Dubbed as the country's first multi-player online gaming network and gaming portal, the youth-centric Website presently has an inventory of 15 games.

The 900-pages portal is expected to add three to four new on-line games a month. It will also launch on-line cricket, kabaddi and other games which are dear to the Indian public. At present, it has games like Half-life death match; counter strike; Quake II - Death Match; Quake II Capture the Flag; Soldier of Fortune - Death Match.

In the first phase of launch, NTL is focusing on developing its network in high-traffic youth hangouts like multiplexes and cybercafes. Says Anuj Gupta, director, NTL, ``Our business and traffic targets will become clear in next one month. Meanwhile we are focusing on enriching the site with innovative content.''

NTL is also in dialogue with corporates for providing gaming platform to brands. NTL is also planning to have its game site located across the Asian markets.The site requires the gaming enthusiast to register online for a free ID and password; get Retail Game Software with the latest modification, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or Netscape Navigator version 4.0 or later. The site creates a chat-room kind of ambience between two or more players, who can chose a game room and play as well as exchange e-mails simultaneously.

The site also contains News section for domestic and international gaming news; Tips and Walkthroughs on how to play each game; Cheats to learn the tricks of the game and emerge as a better cheat; and Dowmloads to give links to game demos, patches, modifications, screen savers etc.
