Mumbai, May 12: As part of its brand-building exercise, Parle Products Limited is all set to launch a host of Web promotions and ground events on May 15, 2000. Coinciding with the-World Family Day-the company will be launching its first online contest called -- Parle World Family Day Contests2win' -- on the Net.Says Pravin Kulkarni, marketing manager, Parle:``In an effort to promote family values, we will be launching this contest on May 15. Our objective is to highlight the fact that Parle makes products that appeal to every member of the family.''
Designed by contests2win, a popular contesting site, the contest is primarily targeted at the youth segment. ``Just log on to www.contests2win.com and you can participate in the contest. Through this contest, we also want to promote the association of Parle Products with World Family Day,''adds Kulkarni.
As part of its marketing strategy, the company will also be launching a host of ground promotions in seven cities across the nation. ``Under the promotion, Parle vans will be driven to many family hang outs in these cities. Our volunteers will greet the families to spread awareness for the World Family Day,''explains Thota Ranganath, COO, Contests2win.com.On May 15, 2000, the company also plans to host on-the-spot contests in many cities across the nation.
