Quality Inns renamed as Choice Hospitality

Calcutta, May 15: Quality Inns India Pvt Ltd has been rechristened as Choice Hospitality India Pvt Ltd, the master franchise of Choice Hotels International. Choice Hotels is the largest franchise operations in the world, with nearly 5,000 properties open or under development in 36 countries, the company said in a release. It said the change in the name signifies its strategy to position itself as a multi-brand hospitality organisation in India, as well as reinforce its association with the multi-national group. The group eyes India as a potential market and targets the mid-market segment."The mid-priced segment is today the one with maximum promise," said Sunil Mathur, senior vice-president of Choice Hospitality India Private Ltd. "Our news name signifies the multi-brand character that the company has acquired, as well as indicating our positive integration with Choice Hotels International."
