IOC announces second dividend
Indian Oil Corporation has declared second interim dividend of 40 per cent. This was decided at a board meeting held in New Delhi on May 13, 2000. The oil PSU had declared first interim dividend of 35 per cent in January this year. The outgo on account of this second interim dividend works out to Rs 311.47 crore. The dividend is payable to all the eligible shareholders who are on the register of members of the company as on June 6, 2000.Maharashtra Scooters net up
Maharashtra Scooters has posted a net profit of Rs 25.07 crore for the year ended March 31, 2000 as against Rs 17.11 for the previous year, registering a rise of 7.96 per cent. Sales and other income during the year 1999-00 went up by 5.73 per cent from Rs 321 crore during previous year, to Rs 399 crore during the year ended 1999-00.
BSEL Info turnover jumps
BSEL Information Systems, a unit of Software Technology Park of India has recorded a net profit of Rs 16.71 crore , an increase of 190.21 per cent compared to 5.76 crore in the corresponding period last year.The turnover was up by 231.71 per cent from Rs 7.61 crore to Rs 25.27 crore in the current fiscal (1999-00).
Jagsonpal Pharma sales jump
Jagsonpal Pharma has reported a 30 per cent jump in its turnover to Rs 118.46 crore for the year ended March 2000, up from Rs 91.46 crore reported last year. Profit after tax during the same period shot up by 65 per cent to Rs 9.42 crore against Rs 7.71 crore reported last year.
A clarification.
With reference to the story on the Indian Medical Portal which appeared in The Financial Express on May 15, it was inadvertently mentioned that the company has raised $3 million in the first round of funding. The correct version is that the company was valued at $3 million in the first round of funding. The error is regretted.
