Surya Roshini floats herbal venture
Surya Herbal Ltd, a new herbal venture, was inaugurated by Union home minister LK Advani in Noida on Monday. Surya Herbal belongs to the Surya Roshni group and has been founded by JP Agarwal. The company will take up herbal farming in MP and Karnataka and the market launch is expected during next month. Isibars pact with Kalyani Carpenter
Isibars, manufacturers of alloy steel and stainless steel products, has entered into a long-term conversion arrangement with Kalyani Carpenter Special Steels for conversion and processing of high-tech speciality steel and low alloy steel material supplied by Kalyani Carpenter. This is likely to result in an additional revenue of about Rs 10 crore per annum to Isibars and will also benefit the companies own operations and lower variable costs by about 2-5 per cent on its on production.
Greaves Morganite net up 28%
Greaves Morganite Crucible Ltd has posted a 28 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 1.23 crore for the year 1999-2000 as compared to Rs 96 lakh for the previous year. Turnover of the company also increased by 13 per cent to Rs 9.67 crore from Rs 8.55 crore in the previous year.
