Sony India Limited on Wednesday launched its Website-www.sonyindia. co.in- allowing customers detailed information on its product portfolio.

Says T Itagaki, General Manager, Sony India, ``this is Sony India's firm step forward into the world of Internet and Sony in India would like to establish its innovative association with the growing base of Internet users in India and also non-resident Indians across the world. We hope that browsers will find the site stimulating and vibrant and enable them to make Sony a part of their life.''

Designed to be user-friendly, products have been categorised in a manner that assists easy location. Thus, colour televisions, hi-fi systems, video CD players and DVD players have been clubbed under `Sony in the office', portable products have been clubbed under `Sony on the move'.

Also showcased are technologically advanced products such as Digital Mavica, photo printer, memory stick and Glasstron. The site also provides town-wise and category-wise information of more than 1,800 dealers. Each category incorporates a dealer locator, which allows the user to locate the dealer in his town, for the product category. A list of authorised service centers has also been provided.
