Egurucool branches out
Egurucool.com, a learning and career portal, has inaugurated a branch at Chennai. On the occasion, the dot.com organised a seminar titled "Schools of the Future" on Wednesday. The need for revamping the educational standards, creation of student-centric contents and to form interactive society among the teachers and students were discussed in the seminar.

SB&T, Microsoft unveil jewellery vortal
SB&T International Ltd has tied up with Microsoft Corporation India for the development of a vertical jewellery portal. The proposed vortal will be a major enabler for its proposed business on the Internet. SB&T is a 100 per cent export-oriented unit in the manufacture and export of studded jewellery with its production base in Mumbai. The company is also planning to set up hubs in the UK, US and South East Asia.

Computer training programme for scribes
Ministry of information technology is organising a series of week-long orientation programmes on computer applications to train journalists. These programmes will commence on July 5, according to an official.The course content will cover computer fundamentals, Microsoft-Word applications and Internet usage.
