Baddi (HP): Himachal Pradesh chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is not eager to jump on to the infotech bandwagon for he thinks that the IT bubble will burst completely in a decade or so. He pointed out that the entrepreneurs could first set up IT units in Himachal Pradesh and subsequently switch over to bio-technology units.
Dhumal said that the state had constituted a task force comprising Himachal Agriculture University, Dr YS Parmar University, Himachal University and Indian Council of Research officials to do the ground work in connection with launch of bio-technology revolution before the state started wooing the industry.
Regarding the information technology policy of the state, he said that it would be framed within next two months followed by a bio-technology policy.
