Pune, June 30: Tata Honeywell's 50:50 joint venture with Group 4 Securitas has become operational. The new company, Central Monitoring Services India Private Ltd (CMS India Ltd), will be setting up six central monitoring stations across the country, the first of which will open on July 6.By launching this service, Tata Honeywell expects to boost market share for the electronic security solutions introduced by the company in the market recently. These products includes sensors, detectors and control panels. While Tata Honeywell will provide the products, service support will come from CMS India Ltd.
In order to provide financial assistance to dealers and end users, the company is tying up with Tata Finance and ICICI. These solutions cost between Rs 5000 and Rs two lakh and target a wide range of customer segments. Group 4 Securitas will provide expertise for manning and managing the monitoring stations, services for which will be offered on a subscription basis.
The electronic systems installed in the subscriber establishments will send signals to these monitoring stations in case of emergencies such as fire, theft, medical emergencies. The team at the CMS station will be responsible for mobilising and despatching assistance.
Group 4 Securitas has recently acquired Danish company, Falck. The merger has made Group 4 Securitas a $2 billion company.
