Hyderabad, June 30: Sujana Industries Ltd (SIL), a Rs 300-crore group company, has reported a sales turnover of Rs 311.77 crore for the 18-month period ended March 2000.As per the audited financial results announced here, SIL has posted a net profit of Rs 13.06 crore, recording a growth of 49 per cent on an annualised basis. During the period under review, the company has provided a provision of Rs 2.42 crore towards taxation and Rs 5.89 crore towards depreciation.The board has recommended 15 per cent dividend for the period ended March 31, 2000 on the equity share capital.
The capacity expansion to 7 lakh nos. per annum at the domestic appliances division has been completed during the year costing Rs 49 crore. The fan division has entered into an agreement with distributor and dealer network to increase sales of "Padmini" and "Zephyre" range of ceiling fans to three lakh numbers per annum in the next two years.
