Calcutta, July 3: As per BIFR directions, Dunlop India Ltd's is currently negotiating with the three recognised workers' union to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with them.Dunlop India president MD Shukla, is presently visiting the company's Tamil Nadu factory to negotiate with the Ambattur Union, company sources said. The MoU with the two unions of Dunlop Sahagunj factory, the Citu-led Dunlop Workers Union and the Intuc-backed Dunlop Rubber Factory Labour Union, is likely to be signed within a day or two, according to sources.
Meanwhile, the management, as per BIFR's order, is preparing a fresh revival package which is expected to be submitted by July 6.
In its June 22 hearing, BIFR had asked the company to sign an MoU with workers and submit a fresh revival package failing which the board will consider changes in the company's management. BIFR had earlier asked the Dunlop management to sign an MoU with workers.
