California Software readies big plans for US Mkt, sets up divion in Pleasanton

Chennai: California Software Co Ltd (CSCL) is planning a major thrust into the US market and has recently set up Ebiz Infosystems (a division) in Pleasanton, California. Set up at a cost of $300,000 the division will focus on e-market solutions (such a trading systems, auction engines etc), work-flow and business process re-engineering. Building products for the future will also receive considerable attention. CSCL undertakes windows based application development work in the US through its existing subsidiary California Software Laboratories Inc (CSWL).The company employs 100 software engineers in the US and plans to add 50 more by the year end. The Indian operations has a 110 professionals presently, and the number is expected to increase to 200 by December. On the financial front, the company finished the fiscal, with a total income of Rs 14.42 crore and a net profit of Rs 1.51 crore on a equity of Rs 4.76 crore. CSWL achieved a income of $8.5 million for the same period. The shares of the company are listed at The National Stock Exchange from June 28 and a Bombay Stock Exchange listing is expected shortly. National Security Depositories Limited and Central Depository Services (India) Limited have admitted the securities of CSCL on the depository system.
