Bangalore: Archies Greetings & Gifts Ltd (AG&G) has entered into a tie-up with Yahoo! India to e-tail the company's cards and gifts articles, according to the company's managing director Anil Moolchandani. With this, Archies' products will be available across the globe on the Yahoo! site. Moolchandani told eFE that the company was also in talks with various portals to enter e-tailing arrangements.He said the company was expecting one million visitors to the site in a month. ``We have a hyper link from Yahoo! site and this will drive more traffic to each other's site,'' he said.
On the Yahoo! tie-up, Moolchandani said Yahoo! India would provide more visibility to the brand.
During fiscal 1998-99, the company sold over 80 million units of cards raking in a turnover of Rs 72 crore. During the current fiscal, the company was looking at a 15 per cent growth, he said.
Moolchandani said the company was in the process of setting up computer kiosks at various outlets across the country. The kiosks were expected to assist customers locate the right cards. For the global delivery of Archies cards and gifts articles, the company was currently in talks with courier firms including Elbee and Blue Dart.
AG&G has also decided to float a portal-Archiesonline.com-with a view to tapping the growing market of online greetings. The site would provide a unique platform to meet, greet and send cards. The site is expected to be up on July 14.
