Escorts JCB turnover up 44 per cent
ESCORTS JCB Ltd has recorded a 44 per cent increase in its turnover at Rs 391.16 crore last fiscal compared to Rs 271.54 crore in 1998-99.The company's profit before tax during the year ended March 31, 2000 grew by nearly 54 per cent at Rs 49.49 crore as against Rs 22.34 crore in the previous year, Escorts JCB said in a statement on Wednesday.It said that the company had sold 2361 earth moving and construction machines during 1999-00 compared to 1,657 in the previous year. Escorts JCB is a joint venture between JC Bamford Excavators Ltd and the Escorts group.Wipro ties-up with Bussan Systems
Wipro Technologies has entered into partnership with Japan's telecom technology firm Bussan Systems Integration Co to develop BSI's requirement of cutting edge mobile technologies for its global market. Under the agreement, Wipro would establish a dedicated offshore development centre for BSI to work in the high technology telecom areas of Internet services and wireless application areas.
Cummins eyes 30 % turnover jump
Diesel engine maker Cummins india Ltd has targeted to achieve about 30 per cent jump in turnover at over Rs 1,100 crore during 2000-01 against Rs 828 crore in the previous year mainly by introducing several new gensets for home and small offices.To meet the target, the company has lined up several models of gensets to provide complete power solution to its customers.
