NetWala offers site to firms to carry out research

Geeta Nair
Pune: NetWala.com will be soon offering its site to companies and market research organisations for carrying out their market research. These companies could post their questionnaires on the NetWala.com site and gain response from the user base built up by NetWala.com.

NetWala is banking on its e-Rupees to generate responses from registered users and assure authentic data to the companies. Users will be given for e-Rupee for answering questionnaires which could be accumulated and be exchanged for a range of gifts.

This service will be launched in three months time when the site's user base reaches between one to one and a half million across the country. This activity forms a major portion of the revenue model for the company in addition to advertisements and percentage of sales generated by member establishments through NetWala.com card users.

"We have tied up with 120 cyber cafes and 200 member establishments and acquired a user base of 3000 merely by word-of-mouth publicity," Amlan Bhattacharjya, chief operating officer of the company said while formally launching operations in Pune. NetWala also introduced its e-Rupee concept in Pune. A friendship carnival is being organised in the city on August 6 targeting the youth.
