Mumbai, July 31: SBT International Ltd has posted a 122 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 1.44 crore for the first quarter ended June, 2000 as against Rs 64 lakh for the corresponding period last year.According to a company release, the total income rose by 103 per cent to Rs 26.73 crore as compared with Rs 13.14 crore in the same period a year ago. This increase in the profitability was due to higher realisation and better utility of resources.
Deutsche International Trust Corporation Ltd a Sebi-registered FII has taken a 14.82 per cent stake in the company through a preferential issue. The company has also tied-up with Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) a division of Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt Ltd, for the development of a vertical jewellery portal.
