Nimish Shukla
Ahmedabad, August 2: In a bid to improve investor services, Sun F&C Asset Management has chalked out a plan to provide free Internet facilities to all its customers. The company has already initiated a move for tying up with leading Internet service providers.

Talking to The Financial Express, Gul Teckchandani, chief investment officer of Sun F&C said, that the company's plan for free Internet access to investors will be subject to the regulatory framework."At present, the company is providing buying and selling of its units over the Internet," he said, adding that though investors were using these facilities, "It is not to the extent desired by us."

Besides free Internet excess to all its investors, the company is also planning to allot independent passwords to all 94,000 investors. He said the idea behind this move is to provide other investor-related services like statement of account, information about Net Asset Value (NAV) and investment guidance over the Internet. In-house experiment has already been undertaken by the company and after its completion, the process of allotment of passwords will begin. The process is expected to be completed within 30 to 45 days. Right now, the company has a total of 8 branches in the country.
