Panel finalises long-distance telephony norms

The core group of secretaries has accepted the power ministry's proposal to grant infrastructure status to liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and rationalisation of import duties.

Rupee dips further to 45.32

The rupee's fall continued unabated, with the currency touching yet another all-time low on Wednesday. The rupee touched a new historic low of 45.37, before dollar-selling by a few state-run banks allowed it to close higher at 45.32/33.
