Gartner's top officials to network with Naidu

Sanjay Jog
Mumbai: Gartner Group's senior vice-president Bob Hayward and its country manager Partha Iyengar will have a breakfast meeting with the IT savvy Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababau Naidu at Hyderabad on Friday. The company vice president (sales and marketing) Dinar Apte while talking to eFe confirmed tomorrow's meeting. However, he termed it as a "courtesy call" and nothing business specific. "Its quite obvious that Gartner's senior vice-president is here and we thought it fit to organise such a meet with the IT-friendly chief minister." However, the meeting between Gartner representatives and Naidu deserves importance especially when the Gartner Group has decided to increase its presence in the Indian market.

The Group plans to be the premier consulting resource for businesses in India and are confident to leverage its global pedigree and expertise to help Indian businesses compete effectively in the local and global marketplace. Gartner Group which has its office in Pune which is known as cyber city may think of opening its office at Hyderabad. However, "it will be known only at the end of Gartner Group's financial year end in September," Apte said. Apte went on to add that Gartner Group's future plans will be known only after September results.
