MIEL e-Security inks pact with US-based Cyberguard

Mumbai, Aug 3: MIEL e-Security a company promoted by Rajesh Shah, MD Mukand and Associates and Insite Ventures India has entered into a "premier partnership" with the US-based Cyberguard, a leading provider of network security solutions. Miel will be the exclusive vendors for Cyberguard's Firewalls which come with high end hardware platforms. Cyberguard's products and services basically prevent unauthorized Internet and network access. Miel's earlier partnerships include Gemplus, the company which specializes in smart cards, eTokens whose products include keys used for authentication and access control. Speaking to eFE, V L Mehta, CEO and Director, Miel e-Security also disclosed that the company was in the process of finalizing "a few" acquisitions in Ireland and Europe. Unwilling to disclose names, Mehta said that the final stages of negotiations were underway and the acquisitions would involve a combination of stock and cash deals.
