Hotline network in Rajasthan for Rs 3 crore

M P Jain
Jaipur, Aug 03: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has agreed to provide high speed leased circuits to the Information Technology Department of Rajasthan for providing hot-line networking from Jaipur to all the 31 districts and Jaipur to Delhi. The project cost is put at about Rs 3 crore and it will take four months to complete.

Sources in the IT Department say that in addition to voice the data transmission would also be possible through the high speed leased circuits. This will make possible the chief minister, Ashok Gehlot's call for e-governance covering all the 32 districts of Rajasthan.

The state secretariat here will be in touch for 24 hours (live) with all the districts magistrates, SPs, DIGs and Commissioners giving access to all the needed information, sources say.
