Teletubbies to be aired on DD II

BBC Worldwide will broadcast the international children's hit series Teletubbies every weekday at 3:30 p.m. on DD Metro. All Teletubbies books in India will be distributed by Penguin DK India and toys will be available from Funskool (India), said Mr Mark Young, managing director, Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, BBC Worldwide. Teletubbies is supported by a range of books, videos, educational toys and magazines. "BBC Worldwide is proud to present this series to children in the country on DD. We have made special efforts to adapt it for Indian children and we are sure that it will prove to be as popular with children here as it has been around the world," said Ms Monisha Shah, territory manager for South Asia, BBC Worldwide. Created by Ragdoll, Teletubbies is a unique television series for young children. Launched three and a half years ago in the UK, the Teletubbies are a phenomenal success around the world.
