Mumbai: Frost & Sullivan (F&S), one of the leading market consulting and corporate training companies, has picked up a minority stake in Processindia.com, a vertical portal that covers major chemical communities by creating separate information and business platforms for them. The two partners have also forged a strategic content alliance.The duo will, through their alliance, offer expert analysis and insights on Indian and global markets. F&S analysts will, every fortnight (in the Frost & Sullivan corner), provides companies with their outlook on key customer trends, technologies and other critical issues on the Indian and global markets.
Frost & Sullivan's director of Indian operations, Mr Aditya Sapru, said that his company had picked up a stake as a sheer commitment to the site, adding that F&S will in no way influence the operational activities at Processindia. No F&S representative would be on the Processindia board, he added.
"In fact, F&S is going beyond a fee-based content partnership by taking a minority stake in Processindia.com. We are committed to enabling companies in India's chemicals and allied sectors to benefit from the increasing opportunities here and worldwide," he said.
Processindia.com director, Mr Navroz Mahudawala said: "This strategic alliance is an an example of Processindia.com and F&S's commitment to the Indian chemicals sector. Our companies bring complementary strengths to the alliance". Processindia.com is the country's only process industries' portal that targets various sub-sector communities of the chemical industry by creating sub-portals serving each of the allied industries such as paints, plastics, dyes and pigments, specialities, environmental and process equipment.
A press release added that visitors to Processindia.com can also access summaries from F&S's strategic consulting reports.
