Orissa plans project for use of Oriya in computer operations 

Our State Bureau  
The Orissa government is going to set up a resource centre to maximise the use of Oriya language in computer applications. The state government has received Rs 98.50 lakh from the Union ministry of information technology for the purpose. The project which will be jointly set up by the state-owned Orissa Computer Application Centre (OCAC) and the Utkal University will be completed in three years. It aims at popularising computer application at all levels with Oriya as a medium for computer operations.
