Mumbai, Sept 26: Dow Chemical Company has identified India as a focus region for business development. The company has formed a new business region head-quartered in Dubai for Middle East and the India sub-continent.The key functions of the new business region, head-quartered at Dubai would be to pursue development opportunities in alignment with global business strategies among other activities, a Dow release said.
The new business region would be headed by area GM, Graham Fox. Commenting on his role, Mr Fox said that it would be to identify business opportunities and to match India's resources and talents with corresponding Dow's resources and talents. Dow's chief executive officer, Willam S Stavropoulos said, "Our ability to combine our global leadership in science, technology and innovation with local resources, capabilities and community support is the key to our success in every country in which we operate." There is tremendous synergy between Indian resources and Dow expertise which, through a partnering approach, can be leveraged for mutually beneficial development, he added.
