Pune, Sept 26: Kinetic Engineering Ltd (KEL) has formed a separate company called Kinetic Marketing & Services Ltd for getting into direct sales. The direct selling strategy will be implemented through the existing dealer network, KEL chairman and managing director Arun Firodia said. "This will bring us incremental sales volume by 10 to 15 per cent in addition to the sales being made by the dealer network," he added.Under the new system, the sales force will directly approach the customer at his place of work or home, explain product features and offer test rides.
Suitable finance schemes will also be made available to customers at their doorstep. "With this new distribution channel in place, a customer will get the comfort of choosing a vehicle without having to go through the hassle of visiting showrooms," he said. The financial burden of this effort will be borne by company, its dealers and the finance company, Firodia said. On an average the cost for selling the vehicle through this channel would be around Rs 600 to Rs 700 per vehicle.
The company has also announced the merger of its three finance companies to form one in-house finance company which is likely to be called Kinetic Finance Ltd. These three companies - Kinetic Fincap Ltd, Kinetic Capital Finance Ltd and Kinetic Lease & Finance- were earlier serving different regional markets.
